Does anybody know the specs of the red witch? I am in Geelong Vic. and have been looking for a Red jacket for awhile now to modify for some offshore sailing.I have only been able to find a Red Witch so far and wonder if it has similar self righting (ballast ratio),unsinkable characteristics(inbuilt boyancy).
Cheers

I most definitely agree with you! I suggest that you and others check out Guardian Fall Protection for more information on the matter....

Hi, I have just acquired a red jacket and the front hatch is cracked. Are you able to recommend a way of fixing this or maybe where I may be able to purchase another?? This is my first yacht and I have thoroughly enjoyed your article and feel I will utilise the information you have provided. I live in Dunsborough and look forward to sailing in the bay here and maybe even the odd trip to Bunbury/Perth - Thanks again Kendall

Hi Adam, how is the restoration going? I've had the same problem with the hatch, they are not easy to replace. I ended up making one my self, just out of wood and fibreglass. Its not the same though.

hi i have just got myself a 1969 redwitch and been fixing her up over the last 6 months, i have 2 questions that you might be able answer. first, do you know where i can get a replacement forward hatch, unfortunatly on a trip from perth to bunbury the wind got underneath the hatch and cracked clean through so it needs replacing, any ideas if they can still be found and 2. the bracket which holds the mast had a crack through it and caught on top of the shed ripping the whole bracket off clean just underneath the bolts. im worried about fixing this due to the extreme force on the same area, any good ideas for fixing this piece?

cheers, i live in bunbury and as soon as shes all fixed im keen to get her going, hopefully before i run out of sun for the year
