hi i have just got myself a 1969 redwitch and been fixing her up over the last 6 months, i have 2 questions that you might be able answer. first, do you know where i can get a replacement forward hatch, unfortunatly on a trip from perth to bunbury the wind got underneath the hatch and cracked clean through so it needs replacing, any ideas if they can still be found and 2. the bracket which holds the mast had a crack through it and caught on top of the shed ripping the whole bracket off clean just underneath the bolts. im worried about fixing this due to the extreme force on the same area, any good ideas for fixing this piece?

cheers, i live in bunbury and as soon as shes all fixed im keen to get her going, hopefully before i run out of sun for the year

.. my next camera upgrade will probably either be a D90 or lighting equipment. I think I have enough lens for now, the next step up will really hurt so holding off on lenses for as long as I can.

I like your blog. I stumbled on your site whilst I was looking for information on Farrier f-31 Trimarans.
I am ex Melbourne (40 years ago!), my mother plays croquet at the Brighton club and I live in Bun the south west of Australia and sail a Dragonfly 800 trimaran which I race.
A few coincidences there!
I am glad you like Melbourne. It is alwasys a pleasure to hear of someone who likes your home town. I grew up there but I now find the weather too hot and it is too crowded for me.
I hope you eventually get a boat.

Sæll Valberg

Síðast þegar við ræddum saman varstu eitthvað að tala um að þú værir á leið til Ástralíu. Ég hugsaði nú ekki meira um það en svo heyrði ég í þér áðan í útvarpinu. Ég bjó sjálfur í St. Albans í Melbourne þegar ég var skiptinemi og sakna landsins enn.

Gaman að skoða síðuna þína.

Hafðu það sem best.

Kveðja,
Einar Örn Davíðsson
